Creation of a Research Centre: “Evaluation and new actuarial uses of information”

Jan 13, 2016, by Covea

To gain insight into and anticipate the impact of Big Data on risk management and KYC, Covéa is creating a research centre, in partnership with the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (National School of Statistics and Business Administration), the Paris-Est Marne-La-Vallée University, Rennes 1 University and the Fondation du Risque (Institut Louis Bachelier).

This initiative, which forms part of the “Ambition client 2020” programme, will enable Covéa to analyse the impact of Big Data on risk management and KYC. The work carried out, over a three-year period, will cover both theoretical and practical aspects.

“This initiative enables Covéa to gain a clearer insight going forwards, provides food for thought for employees and, further out, will allow it to test the theoretical developments brought to light by the research centre’s work”, affirm the centre’s two sponsors, Valérie Cohen, Technical Director, P&C insurance for individual clients, and Antoine Ermeneux, Director of Marketing & Strategic Transformation at Covéa.
